How I Organize My Week, Month, & Life

Fact: planning makes life easier.  :)  My intent for this post is to share how you can use simple planning tools to manage your week, month, and life, which will make your life easier!

1st: Use a long-term planning tool.

Remember that I love Vera Bradley.  And I REALLY love my Vera Bradley Agenda.  I am definitely "old-fashioned" when it comes to planners, no blackberry for me. :)

Trina uses Google Calendar, which she can sync to her phone.  It is a great tool for families, because you can have different colored "calendars" for each family member (yes, I do have a "calendar" in the Banner Google Calendar)!  :)

2nd:  Use a monthly planning tool.

I bought an inexpensive white board calendar for my office at work.  I really like having a visible, monthly calendar!  It allows me to look ahead very easily.

Vera Bradley recently came out with a Desk Calendar that would also work great!  I may be adding this to my Christmas list. :)

3rd:  Use a weekly planning tool.

I think this is the key to making your life easier!  I used to use this weekly calendar.

I got it for $1 at Target.  Trina purchased a similar one and loves it.
My friend Jami also uses this calendar to plan meals.

However, I now use a simple yet amazing Excel spreadsheet to plan my weeks. :)

It only took a couple of minutes to create and is perfect for keeping me organized at work.  When I am done with a task or meeting, I simply push delete.  I open this calendar first thing in the morning and don't close it until I leave.  It is great!

You can find a printable copy of my weekly to-do list {and a few other goodies} in an Excel Workbook {here}.

To download the Workbook follow these directions:
1. Click on the link above {or here}.
2. Click on "File" {top, left corner}.
3.  Go to "Download as".
4. Choose "Excel" {best option}.

Now you can save it and change it to fit your specific needs!

 I love Goggle Docs!

Here is another adorable weekly calendar.  Too expensive in my opinion, but you could easily create something similar.

Here are some links to FREE printable weekly calendars: Teachers, Kids, and Daily.
I hope you got some practical ideas that can help you keep track of your busy/crazy life!

Have a great weekend and be safe! :)
